Chigai-dana, Defferent-levelled shelves
In a broad sense, it means a
shelf. But in this case it means two shelves set on different levels. A short post called ebi-zuka is set between the upper shelf and the lower shelf. At the edge of the upper board a wood strip called fude-gaeshi is attached.
