Biography of Toshio MATSUO

Portrait of Toshio MATSUO1926 - Japanese painter Toshio MATSUO was born in Nagasaki Prefecture.
1949 - Accepted to the 34th Restored Inten Exhibition for the first time.
1971 - Appointed to the Dojin of the Inten.
1979 - Awarded The 35th Japan Art Academy Prize.
1994 - Became a member of The Japan Art Academy.
2000 - Selected as a Person of Cultural Merits.
2012 - Awarded The Order of Culture.
2016 - Toshio MATSUO passed away at the age of 90.
